Love this place so much. THERE’S SO MANY CATS OMG. And it is so cool that you can adopt those cats. The food is simply amaaazing and the drinks are too, another good thing is that the food is vegetarian. Must visit!!

If there was an option for 10 stars I would defined place it! The owners Fatima and Joana are making the difference with their social work by promoting responsible adoptions through this amazing haven they created! This place is not just a cat cafe, is the perfect place to enjoy quality homemade delicacies made from heart We tried the gnocchi, the vegan burger and of course their amazing carrot cake and lemon cake. At the same time we had the chance to pet and relax close the rescued kitties that have found an amazing place to be fostered until they meet their new family! This is a place made with huge love and effort by 2 women that work all day to provide the best experience to everybody while take care the stray cats and work until they find for them a new chance in life. I really don't understand the people who put 1 star in a place like this! There is now way to visit this place and leave with bad experience! I'm looking forward to go back again when visiting Porto! Congratulations for your contribution to society and animal welfare! I wish there were more businesses like this one and our world would be definetely a better place! O Porto dos Gatos in Porto is a cozy, cat-friendly vegan/vegetarian restaurant that offers a peaceful and unique dining experience. With both indoor and outdoor seating, the real highlight is the separate cat room and limited to 7 guests at a time for a calm atmosphere. The vegan food is creative and delicious, and the vibe is relaxed and fun. Just remember: respect the cats’ space—only pet them if they come to you first. A perfect spot for anyone who loves great food and furry friends!

Came here as a treat for the family, I am not a cat lover, however I was impressed by how they catered for both types of people, those who love cats and those who don’t. The place on entrance is welcoming with friendly staff, the cats are separated at the back of the cafe in the garden and another room. The food tasted amazing, everything on offer was vegan, honestly we didn’t miss the meat. I enjoyed a great coffee at the end. The mains were a good portion size. There was also a guest book, it had some cute and fun comments definitely worth a read. If I ever return to Porto I would definitely return here again.

I love this place! Everything was vegan, the staff were friendly, and of course, the cats were adorable. There is seating out front, inside, and also in a courtyard in the back. There are about a dozen cats, who have free movement between a room made for them (with chairs and a window seat) and the courtyard. We actually visited twice because we enjoyed it so much. If you love cats, I suggest making a visit here.

If you're in Porto and even remotely like cats — this is your place. I’ve visited many cat cafés across Europe, but this one had by far the most cats and the most cuddly ones too. Some even tried to steal my food, and others were obsessed with my bag — which only made me love them more. What made it extra special: Outdoor seating was the absolute best, perfect for relaxing with your furry companions. Coffee was good, and the place wasn't packed with tourists, so you could truly enjoy it peacefully. I came here on a tough day, and being surrounded by so many gentle, loving cats completely turned my mood around. One of the best hidden gems in Porto — relaxing, therapeutic, and absolutely adorable.
